Application Deadlines

Please familiarise yourself with the important dates and deadlines on the University website.

Applying by 15th October

Most applications must be completed on the UCAS website by 15 October, the year before you wish to enter University. You will then be sent a link to the Cambridge Supplementary Application Questionnaire. If you are applying from a country outside the EU then you will also need to complete the Cambridge Overseas application form.

Applying by 1st March

As one of the the four mature Colleges we can consider mature and affiliate applications for some subjects after this date, as part of a second application round, the deadline for which is 1 March each year.  Applications must be completed on the UCAS website  after 15th October.  You will then be sent a link to the Cambridge Supplementary Application Questionnaire. If you are applying from a country outside the EU then you will also need to complete the Cambridge Overseas application form

The following subjects are excluded from the second round, and applications for these courses must be submitted by the 15 October deadline:

  • Architecture
  • History of Art
  • Law (this will be offered in the March round of admissions by Lucy Cavendish College and Hughes Hall only).
  • Medicine
  • Music
  • Philosophy
  • Veterinary Medicine

You may apply to one of the mature Colleges for all other subjects in the second round, although you’re encouraged to apply in the first round if possible. If you’re considering applying in the second round (or for entry in future years), we recommend that you contact the admissions office for advice.
