Lord St John of Fawsley The College regrets to announce that Lord St John of Fawsley, Honorary Fellow of St Edmund’s, who died on Friday 2nd March 2012 at his home in London following a short illness. As Norman St-John Stevas, he served in the government of Edward Heath as minister for education and the arts and was a member of Margaret Thatcher’s first cabinet as leader of the Commons. He was later Master of Emmanuel College, Cambridge. Lord Fawsley lived in St Edmund's House for a period when he was an undergraduate and was elected an Honorary Fellow of St Edmund’s in 1985.
