Dr Michael Hoskin, Emeritus Fellow and formerly Vice Master and Senior Tutor, has been elected to an Honorary Fellowship of the Royal Astronomical Society. The Society recognises up to three people annually in recognition of services to astronomical sciences or specially outstanding distinguished work in the history of these sciences. Dr Hoskin is primarily an historian of stellar astronomy. Previously, the International Astronomical Union designated asteroid 12223 as 12223 Minor Planet HOSKIN in his honour.
