Dr George Gordon

Henslow Research Fellow, Fellows' Steward, Senior Treasurer of the College Boat Club

Dr George Gordon holds the Henslow Research Fellowship at St. Edmund's College, a three-year stipendiary fellowship funded by the Cambridge Philosophical Society. Originally from New Zealand, George completed his undergraduate studies in Electrical Engineering at the University of Auckland. Following this, he was awarded a prestigious Rutherford Foundation Scholarship from the Royal Society of New Zealand to undertake a Ph.D. at Trinity College, University of Cambridge, focussing on strategies to improve the performance of indoor wireless networks. He completed this in 2013, shortly before joining St Edmund's College.

Within College, George is a Fellows' Steward, responsible for administration of College formal dinners, and is also Senior Treasurer of the College Boat Club. Outside of his research, George is a keen double-bass player and enjoys learning Chinese.
