Ms Edna Murphy


Ms Edna Murphy MA (Cantab), LLM, MBA, JP read Philosphy and Law at Cambridge, attending Murray Edwards (then New Hall). After this she undertook postgraduate law studies in New York University School of Law and in mid-career took an MBA from the Open University. Her professional career has involved working in the voluntary sector, Cambridge technology businesses and central university administration. She has run the main research administration support in the University of Cambridge and set up the Joint Research Office between Imperial College London (Faculty of Medicine) and Imperial College NHS Healthcare Trust. Latterly she has held a broad management role in UCL’s Faculty of Medical Sciences and been a Non-Executive Director of a mental health trust in London. She has been a governor of Hills Road Sixth Form College and a Magistrate on the Cambridge Bench and is a keen amateur musician.
