The Henslow Research Fellowship at St Edmund's College 2013
St Edmund's College invites applications for the Henslow Research Fellowship in the fields of Natural Science, Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science, tenable from 1st October 2013 for 3 years until September 2016.
Applicants should be of postdoctoral level or expect to attain it by 1 October 2013. The successful candidates will be entitled to Fellow's Commons and a free single room in College. The stipend offered is £20,210 - £21,878, point 23-27 on the College salary spine.
Applications should include a current CV, a research proposal, not normally exceeding 1000 words, and the names of two referees, whom the candidate should ask to write directly to the Master, St Edmund's College, Cambridge CB3 0BN. The closing date for receipt of applications and references is 30th November 2012. Short listed candidates may be invited to submit written work for assessment. It is hoped to interview short-listed candidates in February 2013. International prospective applicants need to be aware that the College is not in a position to pay air-fares for those short-listed for interview in Cambridge.
The appointment will be conditional upon the candidate providing satisfactory evidence of the right to work in England in the capacity offered, together with proof of entry clearance or leave to remain. Note: if no suitably qualified settled worker is available or no suitably qualified worker with the right to work is available, subject to UK Border Agency rules, the College could provide sponsorship for entry for the duration of the Fellowship.
