Rents in academic year 2016-17 for undergraduates and postgraduates relating to the various types of accommodation available, are shown in the following pdf file:
The basic rent for any given type of accommodation is the same for any normally resident member of College, students are billed quarterly (3 months) in advance.
There are different charges for Visiting Fellows and Scholars. Prospective members in these categories should apply to the Accommodation Office for details. Visiting Fellows and Scholars are billed on timescales commensurate with the duration of their stay.
'Caution money' equivalent to one month's rent is levied at the commencement of residence each year against possible loss or damage to decorations, fabric and furnishings, and is credited (as appropriate) in the final bill. A refundable key deposit of £20 is charged per key issued.
Members will understand that in order to keep the kitchen running a certain revenue is necessary. A minimum charge of £220 per term for meals is therefore levied on all members living on site and £100 on members living off site. This is added to a member's College Bill.
For occupancy of rooms outside the normally agreed dates, rent is charged on a per day basis.
