Non-stipendiary Postdoctoral Research Fellowships

Applications are invited for up to four non-stipendiary postdoctoral Research Fellowships tenable from 1 October 2018 for two years initially, with the possibility of renewal for a further two years. 

Applicants should be of postdoctoral level or expect to attain it by 1 October 2018, should have adequate financial support from a grant or contract for research and should normally be resident and conducting their research in Cambridge in either the Arts or Sciences.

All Research Fellows have the full rights of Fellowship within the College and are voting members of the Governing Body, with associated dining rights.  They would be expected to attend Governing Body meetings, which normally take place once a term.  In due course, they may also be invited to become a member of other College committees.

Applications should include a current CV, a research proposal (not normally exceeding 1000 words), and a completed checklist.  In addition, the candidate should arrange for two academic references to be sent to the Master, St Edmund’s College, Cambridge CB3 0BN, via the College Administrator (email: before the closing date.

The closing date for receipt of applications and references is Thursday 4 January 2018.  It is hoped to interview on Wednesday 7 February 2018.  

Applicants are invited to note that postdoctoral non-stipendiary Research Fellows are not employees of the College.
