* Changed the "portrait photo". This time it is Mont Blanc (Vallee Blanche) - tad smaller than the previous Annapurna (Poonhill)...
Updated FAQ: how many Japanese in Cam Uni? (with discussions).
* As a result of the change in server (see 22sep99), now the official URL of my frontpage is "http://www.st-edmunds.cam.ac.uk/~kw10004/". "/members/kw10004/" should still work, but it is not guaranteed that the aliasing will be in place permanently, so do update your links or "favourites" file, if you've got my URL in it.
* Travel Reports pages extended.
The pages are being moved to a new server, and therefore there may be glitches and inconveniences for the next couple of weeks, sorry.

Changed the portrait photo. No particular reason. Fiddled a bit too much with photoshop, but looks cool, doesn't it? The original photo is here (image removed 2 Nov 00). Due to server upgrade, the "default" file changed from "index.html" to "default.html". All "default.html" files are aliased to "index.html", so I hope there won't be any problem.

2) Fixed an link bug I didn't notice for a long time - the address for soc-japan-request@lists had an extra "s" in it. Apologies to those who tried the mailto:link and didn't work. Please try again. Thanks to IHI for pointing out the problem.

Inspired by my friends' webpages, I decided to start my "on-line diary". Link is from "Real time Cambridge".
Also added "FAQ: How many Japanese are there in Cam Uni", and a link to the legendary "Cambridge Night Climbers" (another diary site)

Apologies: Due to the alteration to the server software, index.shtml is no longer recognised as the default page. Now it is moved to index.html.
