The ‘household system’ in College

Households

The pandemic brought about much change, some of the changes (not many) did on reflection make sence in the new world, the new normals. One such example if the ‘households’ system St Edmunds adopted.

If you live in a single bedroom within College (i.e. if your room is in grades 1- 12), you are in a “shared household”. Your shared household is yourself plus the people you share a kitchen with; also a bathroom if your room is not en-suite. Your household name will be signposted on your household main entrance. Household sizes in College have been carefully managed, and most consist of 6-8 students. Households in the future maintain all the benifits of living with a known group of people, sharing common facilities, but most importantly access to the household is governed by those in the household.
