Dr Daniela Massiceti

Research Fellow

Daniela is a post-doctoral researcher in machine learning at Microsoft Research (MSR) Cambridge. Her work explores how machine learning technologies can be used to help people with vision impairment. She is particularly interested in how models can be made more robust to real-world scenarios –  for example, when only a small amount of training data is available, or the data are poor quality (e.g. blurry images, poor view points). Prior to joining MSR, Daniela completed her D.Phil in computer vision and M.Sc in neuroscience at the University of Oxford, and her B.Sc in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Cape Town. She is passionate about diversity and inclusion in machine learning, and is an organiser of the Deep Learning Indaba.
