Student Wellbeing Support

We take a holistic, prevention-focused approach to student wellbeing, mental health and disability support.

We focus on inclusivity and nurturing a sense of belonging to ensure our wellbeing offering supports our vibrant, multicultural student community.

Our multidisciplinary wellbeing team is made up of a:

  • Director of Student Wellbeing who oversees the team as well as the student wellbeing culture at the College.
  • Mental Health Practitioner who provides mental health support, advice and guidance
  • Student Wellbeing Officer who provides wellbeing and disability-related support, advice and guidance for wellbeing related matters, as well as works closely with members of the CR and other College departments.
  • Nurse who provides care for minor injuries and illnesses as well as advice and guidance on physical health related issues.
  • Student Civic Engagement Coordinator who facilitates our wellbeing events and works closely with local charity partners to facilitate volunteering opportunities.
  • Student Wellbeing Administrator who provides day-to-day, frontline operational support to the team.

We offer 1-2-1 support and a range of activities

1.

Pre-bookable appointments with a member of the Wellbeing Team at our on-site Wellbeing Office and Healthcare Centre

2.

A series of weekly Wellbeing Wednesday inclusive, community and psychoeducational events. These offer an opportunity for fun, as well as interactions between our students, staff, alumni and fellow community in an informal setting

3.

Student civic engagement activities which provide volunteering opportunities and opportunities to engage with our broader Cambridge community

4.

The Representation Matters Campaign gathers case studies of members of our student body from all over the world who are engaged in various activities around the globe. As one of the most international Colleges at Cambridge, this campaign showcases our vibrant community and the areas that matter to them.

“The mental health support at Eddies is absolutely incredible, and the support I’ve received from the practitioner has enabled me to engage well with my studies, despite living with various mental health disorders.”
