Expanding Access to a Cambridge-Style Education for a Global Audience

The St Edmund’s Global Programme is an exciting educational initiative developed by St Edmund’s College at the University of Cambridge, in partnership with BlueBridge Education. It is designed to bring the intellectual rigor, global perspective, and immersive academic environment of Cambridge to students and professionals from around the world.

Initially launched during the COVID-19 pandemic as a fully online offering, the programme has evolved into a vibrant, in-person experience that welcomes international learners to our Cambridge campus. Since 2023, we have hosted students from across continents, offering short courses that combine academic excellence with practical skill development, cultural enrichment, and personal growth.

What the Programme Offers

Participants join us at St Edmund’s College to study a variety of subjects delivered in the Cambridge tradition. All programmes are taught by experienced Cambridge-based academics and industry practitioners, with small-group teaching, individual mentoring, and a focus on research-led learning.

Key Dates:

  • 2 to15 August 2026 – University Summer Schools
  • 16 to 22 August 2026 – Professional Development Programmes

Upcoming Summer courses in 2026 include:

  • Python Programming Bootcamp:  Learning the fundamentals of Digital Data Processing, Data Science, and Game Development
  • Film and New Media
  • Global Business Studies: Multidisciplinary including Entrepreneurship, ESG, Social Innovation and Economics
  • Quantum Physics Innovation
  • Exchange Scholar Development Programme

Previous courses that have been hosted previously include,

  • Entrepreneurship and Business Innovation and Presentation Skills
  • English Language and Communication Skills for Academic Purposes
  • Information Engineering and Presentation Skills in English
  • Materials Science and Presentation Skills in English

Programmes are designed to blend subject knowledge with transferable skills in critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and innovation, core competencies for the future of work and study.
