Annual Student Interdisciplinary Conference

2016-03-08

On 20 February 2016, St Edmund’s held its second Annual Student Interdisciplinary Conference, giving students a much-valued platform to share their research and hone their presentational skills.

Silvia Ferreri, Conference organiser said “16 speakers presented their research spanning from engineering to economics, from the social sciences to mathematics and physics… a wide selection of topics that mirrors the variety of research pursued by Eddies students”. The keynote speech given by Professor Richard Hills, Emeritus Fellow of the College, put the finishing touches on an amazing day.  “Overall, the event was a success, thanks to the large participation of speakers and audience… and a fruitful occasion for students to meet fellows, gaining valuable advice.  In future we hope to further increase the number of participants and to widen the range of topics, continuing to make the conference a highlight in the College calendar.”

The College offers its congratulations to prizewinners Aastha Dahal (Best Presentation), Raz Jabary (Best Presentation) and Sara Shahzad (Best Poster Presentation).
