Professor Simon Lee, College Fellow and Executive Director of the Cambridge Theological Federation, was presented with an honorary degree from Liverpool Hope University at its Winter Graduation ceremony at the Metropolitan Cathedral on 26 January 2016.

Professor Lee was Rector and Chief Executive of Liverpool Hope University College from 1995-2003. During this time, he proposed the name ‘Hope’, the development of the Creative Campus at Everton, and the pioneering Network of Hope partnership.

Professor Lee said of his honorary degree from Liverpool Hope, “We used to quote Cardinal Suenens, ‘To hope is not to dream but to turn dreams into reality’. I am so grateful for those who have been turning our dreams into reality from before, during and after my time here at Hope.”

The previous day, Professor Lee gave a homily at the University to celebrate their annual Foundation Day Service.
