St Edmund’s College is one of the graduate colleges within the University of Cambridge, admitting students as graduates and mature undergraduates. Founded in 1896, it has a diverse membership, with over two thirds of its student body from overseas. It has grown rapidly in the last two decades, and currently has 450 students and 50 Fellows. It is the only modern College within the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge with a Catholic heritage, which is maintained through its Chapel and Dean, who is a Roman Catholic priest. The College is the home of the Von Hügel Institute, which undertakes research on the relationship between religion and society, and the Faraday Institute of Science and Religion.
