St Edmund’s College was delighted to welcome an academic delegation from Wuhan Textile University (WTU) for further discussions to expand the relationship following the very successful Materials Science Innovation programme which was launched in August 2023.

St Edmund’s Global Programmes intends to include a Computer Science/AI focused cohort alongside the Materials Science Innovation programme in 2024. Both programmes will continue to include discussion based English Language modules and presentations to develop confidence in speaking English.

St Edmund’s College representatives led by Rob Preston (Domestic Bursar) and Katharine Cantell (Development Office) along with education partners BlueBridge Education concluded the meeting by signing an MOU with Huiyu Tian (Secretary of the Party Committee) from WTU and exchanging gifts.

St. Edmund’s alumnus and BlueBridge Education Managing Director Stewart Eru said: “We are delighted with the progress we made this summer which really unlocked the potential of these programmes. Having such positive feedback from the senior leadership at WTU really endorses the effort that the college community played in delivering a memorable experience for the WTU students. We look forward to growing further in 2024.“
