About
the VHI

A unique institute of advanced studies inspired by Catholic thought and culture, focussed on contemporary global realities, and dedicated to encounter, dialogue, and transformation.

The Von Hügel Institute is a home for critical catholic inquiry in the heart of the University of Cambridge, developing the critical resources of a catholic worldview for a better shared future.

Our work mines the theological, philosophical and ethical traditions of the world’s largest and most global religious tradition to address the pressing issues of our world and its future.
