From 14 to 18 September 2026 the VHI is hosting the International conference: Political Reconciliation and Interreligious Encounter, jointly organised with the Wasatia Graduate School for Peace and Conflict Resolution at the Europa-Universität Flensburg, and sponsored by the German Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space.
The conference is organised by St Edmund’s College Visiting Scholars Professor Dr Ralf Wüstenberg, Chair for Systematic and Historic Theology at Europa-University Flensburg and Dr Zeina Barakat, Executive Director of the Wasatia Graduate School and Extraordinary Professor at Stellenbosch University.
Please note that all working sessions are by invitation only.
The programme includes a keynote lecture by Dr Vittorio Montemaggi (Director of the Von Hügel Institute and Academic Director of the London Global Gateway of the University of Notre Dame in England) “On Love, Ideology, and Inter-religious Relations in Dante“, on Wednesday 16 September at 5.30 pm (Garden Room, St Edmund’s College).
The keynote lecture is open to all, a small drinks reception will follow. Given the availability of space, we would like to invite anyone interested in attending to register by 1 September.
