This seminar will be delivered by Dr Christian Gsodam, Principal Advisor for Strategic Communication and Foresight at the European External Action Service, the EU’s diplomatic service. Previously, Christian served as Chief of Staff and Director of Communication at the European Committee of the Regions. Being a laureate of a European Commission selection procedure in 1995 he also worked for the European Commission, the European Parliament and the EU’s Council of Ministers. He teaches comparative constitutional law and European law at the universities of Strasbourg and Paris 1, Sorbonne-Panthéon.

This event will help us to understand the changes that are presently taking place in Europe. It will present the work of the European Future Talks which have been a series of dialogues across Europe including Cambridge. It examines issues such as the rule of law, populism, and the crisis of democracy.
