HR Administrator
Salary: £31,052
Location: Cambridge, St Edmund’s College
Contract type: Permanent, Full-Time 36.5 hours per week
We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented HR Administrator to join our busy HR team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a people-focused environment and enjoys supporting a wide range of HR processes with accuracy and care.
Job responsibilities
Recruitment
- Placing adverts as directed by the HR Manager.
- Managing the applications process including receiving and distributing applications for posts
- Arranging interviews and informing unsuccessful applicants and interviewees of the outcome in a timely manner.
- Filing and archiving all recruitment material in a manner compliant with data protection legislation
New starters
- Arranging College induction programme
- Ensuring the line manager organises the induction programme
- Ensuring the HR record is complete, including next of kin
- Administering the induction process advising line managers of due dates and following up to en-sure the processes are completed, advising the HR Manager in cases of non compliance or con-cerns raised by either the line manager or the employee
Training
- Extract and list training needs from appraisals
- Monitor completion of mandatory training programmes and report.
- Arrange mandatory training (eg Prevent) relevant to all departments
- Book and arrange training, including arranging a training agreement and monitoring any repay-ment obligations where necessary
Performance Management
- Monitor completed appraisals returned, following up with line managers and reporting any issues to HR Manager
- Monitor sickness absence processes and return to work interviews ensuring they are completed. Refer any issues to HR Manager.
- Arrange disciplinary meetings under the direction of the HR Manager
The successful candidate:
- Experience within a HR Administrator role
- Good working knowledge of HRIS & Microsoft Office
- Good command of the English language both verbal and written
- Excellent organisation skills
- Emotional Intelligence
- Understanding and experience in recruitment
