Visiting Fellows and Scholars

There are different charges for Visiting Fellows and Visiting Scholars. Prospective members in these categories should apply to accommodation@st-edmunds.cam.ac.uk for details. Visiting Fellows & Scholars are billed on timescales commensurate with the duration of their stay.

Caution Money (Deposit)

Caution Money is a deposit held against possible loss or damage to decorations, fabric and furnishings for those living in College accommodation. It is charged at the beginning of the contract period and is the equivalent of one month’s rent. Caution money is returned at the end of the contract, if the accommodation is left in a satisfactory condition and if a form is completed by the student. Forms are available here, and from the main college Reception and Mount Pleasant Halls Lodge.

Caution Money cannot be returned if a form is not completed.

Notes

The basic rent for any given type of accommodation is the same for any normally resident member of College, students are billed quarterly (3 months) in advance.

For occupancy of rooms outside the normally agreed dates, rent is charged on a per day basis
