St Edmund’s College is seeking a resident Fire Warden to join our dedicated team of ten wardens across campus. This vital role supports the College’s emergency response and fire safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist during fire alarms and emergencies
- Identify and report fire risks and hazards
- Ensure safe evacuation of designated areas
- Liaise with Porters’ Lodge and emergency services
- Maintain clear escape routes and support staff during call-outs
- Record and report observations
Requirements:
- Must reside on the Mount Pleasant Campus
- Calm under pressure and able to work independently
- Basic understanding of health and safety
- Willingness to follow procedures and take direction
- Training provided.
Note: Extended absences (1 week or more) will result in allowance deductions.
