Join us for a volunteering event with Cambridge Sustainable Food.

This Wellbeing Wednesday, we will be partnering with Cambridge Sustainable Food, a local organisation working to build a fairer, more sustainable food system which supports the community and the environment.

For this week’s Wellbeing Wednesday, members of St Edmund’s community are warmly invited to join Cambridge Sustainable Food for a volunteering event.

Attendees will get the opportunity to:

  • Cook surplus food intercepted from food waste to create delicious meals
  • Get to know local faces by serving sustainable food at a community café
  • Sort donations of pumpkins and squashes and batch cooking them into seasonal treats
  • Find out more about the local network of sustainable food initiatives
  • And more!

This event is part of the Wellbeing Team’s Civic Engagement strand. These events are designed to nurture the wellbeing of our College members by promoting positive feelings of making a difference and giving back, meeting people from all walks of life, and building connections in our local Cambridge community.

Wellbeing Wednesday: Sustainable Food will take place off site. There are options to travel there as a group, or to meet us there. All are welcome to join us.

To give the organisation an idea of numbers, booking is encouraged for this event. 1 week before the event, the Wellbeing team will circulate a booking link to all St Edmund’s students via email. Drop-ins are also more than welcome on the day, and nobody will be turned away.
