St Edmund’s College is excited to announce a partnership with the Cambridge India Research Foundation, enabling friends and alumni in India to donate to the College.
Since its founding 130 years ago, St Edmund’s College has grown from a community of just 6 students to welcoming 519 students from over 90 countries across the world this Michaelmas.
People from all over the world come to St Edmund’s with big questions. They research issues that matter to the world, and to our understanding of our place in it. They push boundaries of achievement and possibility. They ask who they will become.
St Edmund’s is proud to have the second largest population of alumni from India across Cambridge. Our partnership with the Cambridge India Research Foundation (‘CIRF’) brings together our alumni and friends in India, enabling us to give forward to and empower the next generation of Indian students at St Edmund’s. Our shared goal is to build a strong pipeline of Indian students coming to Cambridge, supported by a robust scholarship fund.
St Edmund’s was – and continues to be – a transformational place for alumni and students coming from India, somewhere where they are helped to meet new challenges head-on and grow towards the next chapter of their lives. Our partnership with CIRF enables the College’s alumni and friends to direct their support where it matters most to them.
Alongside CIRF, we aim to:
- Develop a robust scholarship fund for St Edmund’s students from India, both to recognise and reward talent and to ensure that Indian students can study at Cambridge irrespective of their financial circumstances
- Bring together our community of students, alumni, friends and supporters in and from India
- Put St Edmund’s College on the map as the first-choice destination for new students from India
Be a part of this mission by donating to CIRF today. Your gift will transform the lives of the students who benefit from it.
