Dr Peter O’Donnell, Affiliated Lecturer in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics, has had his second book published, which is entitled Essential Dynamics & Relativity. The book was published by Taylor & Francis/CRC Press on 1^st January 2015 and covers the salient features of classical mechanics and special relativity. It is essentially an undergraduate text for mathematicians and physicists, but it also contains some historical information that may be of interest to historians of mathematics and science.
