St Edmund’s College is committed to ensuring that all members of our community can participate in College life. We aim to provide an inclusive environment that supports physical, academic, and emotional wellbeing.

Physical accessibility and wayfinding

We work with AccessAble to provide detailed, independent access guides for our buildings and facilities. These guides include information on level access, door widths and more.

Assistance dogs

St Edmund’s College welcomes assistance dogs.

St Edmund’s College welcomes assistance dogs. The College maintains a formal Assistance Dogs Policy which outlines the procedures for bringing an assistance dog into College buildings and accommodation.  The policy is available on the policies and procedures page.

Dietary requirements and catering

The College’s Catering Team is experienced in providing for a wide range of dietary needs including allergens and religious requirements.

Weekly menus are provided by our catering team and can be found on our intranet, My St Edmund’s.

College wellbeing support

The College’s Wellbeing Team takes a holistic approach to student wellbeing, mental health and disability support. The Wellbeing Team is the first point of reference for any accessibility and disability needs for students. . University-wide support

The Accessibility and Disability Resource Centre (ADRC) is the primary hub for disability support for students at the University of Cambridge.  They offer confidential advice and support for new students, current undergraduates and postgraduate students. They provide mentoring, study skills and assistance with developing Student Support Documents (which includes recommendations for different types of study support for lectures, seminars, practicals, supervisions and exams). Student-led support (CR)

The Combination Room (CR) have designated student representatives. This includes the:

• CR Disabilities Officer (cr-disabilities@st-edmunds.cam.ac.uk)
• CR Welfare Officers (cr-welfare@st-edmunds.cam.ac.uk) who can be consulted on matters regarding accessibility, disability and wellbeing that affect the student body.
