Ben Barlow (History Tripos, BA 2025 – pictured first) and Ben Cook (MPhil in Medical Science, Surgery – pictured second) will both represent the Rugby Men’s Blues this season.

A young man with short brown hair stands with arms folded, wearing a classic rugby shirt in white and light green stripes featuring a red lion crest and several logos, against a plain white background.

Ben Barlow shared:

“It’s been a privilege to play for the Cambridge University Rugby Union Football Club over the last couple of terms. It’s a supportive environment that has contributed hugely to my enjoyment whilst at Cambridge. I’m grateful for the opportunity to represent the club, university, and St Edmund’s on Saturday.”

A man with short dark hair and a trimmed beard stands with arms crossed, wearing a white and light green striped rugby shirt featuring a red lion logo and sponsor logos, embodying the spirit of rugby against a plain light background.

Ben Cook added:

“Playing the Varsity was my major ambition for this year so it’s a huge honour to be selected to start. It’s been challenging to balance rugby with my MPhil in Surgery and work as a doctor but I’ve loved my time with curufc and can’t wait for Saturday!”

Catch both Bens in action at the Varsity Match against Oxford University Rugby Football Club on Saturday 28 February 2026 at StoneX Stadium (3pm kick-off).

Wishing them and the whole team the very best of luck!
