In November, members of the St Edmund’s community were invited to take part in our Inspire Inclusion photography competition, which encouraged participants to reflect on what inclusion means to them.

The winning image, Bounded Belonging by Gian, captures a powerful sense of warmth and togetherness during the darker months of the year. Reflecting on the photograph, Gian shared that it symbolises hope: hope of warmth, hope of connection, and the reassurance that belonging can still be found, even in moments of loneliness. The contrast between the cold darkness outside and the warmth within speaks to resilience and the comfort of shared spaces.

The competition received a number of thoughtful and creative entries, each offering a unique perspective on the theme of Inclusion. We are grateful to everyone who took part and shared their work, helping highlight the many ways inclusion and belonging are experienced across our community.
