St Edmund’s recently welcomed new Fellows to the College. The Fellows were sworn in during a ceremony presided over by the Master, Professor Chris Young on 10 February 2026.

Mr Jeffrey Liu
Jeffrey Wei Liu is an accomplished leader with a dynamic background, blending excellence in sports, business, and global development. A former Chinese national swimming champion, Jeffrey has since established himself as a renowned authority in global finance, real estate, and entrepreneurship. He is the founder and CEO of Posh Global Investment Limited and a senior partner at Beijing Cornerstone & Partners law firm, where he leads innovative ventures that span across Asia, Europe, North America, and Oceania. Jeffrey’s passion for education is evident in his extensive philanthropic work. From 2022 to 2025, he was elected as a representative at the Chengdu Annual Charity Conference in China.
In 2024, he was elected Fellow Benefactor of St Edmund’s College, University of Cambridge, where his contributions to global finance, entrepreneurship, and personal development continue to shape the next generation of leaders. As a Foundation Fellow in 2026, he now becomes the first individual in the College’s history to be bestowed such an honour.
Mr Robert Baker
Robert began his Cambridge University Boat Club career as Assistant Coach in 2001, leading Goldie (the universities second boat) to wins in 2006 and 2007 as well as the Britannia Challenge Cup at Henley in 2003 and the Stewards’ Challenge Cup in 2008. Rob moved to Ireland to lead Irish Rowing’s U23 squad for three years, and then in 2015 returned to Cambridge as the first full-time coach for the women’s squad, overseeing their move to the Tideway for their Boat Race and leading them to dominant wins in 2017 and 2018 in both Blue and Reserve races. Rob has coached medal winning international crews, notably the Great Britain men’s pair in 2022. Since the 2018-19 season, Rob’s primary focus has been the men’s squad.
Rob is Cambridge born and bred, the son of a university boatman, and has rowing and Boat Races in his blood. His wife Hayley rowed for Cambridge as a Lightweight and they have two children.
Ms Fran Baker Kurdi
Fran serves as Director of Sustainability and Social Impact at Arm, where she leads an award-winning strategy focused on inclusive innovation in technology and artificial intelligence. Her work centres on extending the benefits of technology to communities and regions that are often overlooked, through partnerships with social entrepreneurs, global organisations, and impact leaders worldwide. Fran gained a distinction in the University of Cambridge MSt in AI Ethics and Society, with a focus on the sustainability and societal implications of AI. Her work receives international recognition, including selection as a UN Global Compact Sustainable Development Goals Pioneer UK winner and inclusion among the 100 Brilliant Women in AI Ethics.
Ms Kathryn Hageman
Kathryn is Campaign Director for University Development and Alumni Relations, and is responsible for providing strategic leadership for the planning and delivery of the next comprehensive campaign for collegiate Cambridge.
Prior to this, she worked for the NHS as Director for the Cambridge Children’s Hospital’s £100m capital campaign.
Kat also spent six years at UCL as Executive Head of Campaign and Supporter Engagement, overseeing campaign projects and propositions, donor relations, communications and events throughout their £600m fundraising and engagement campaign. Before entering the higher education sector, she held fundraising, engagement and governance roles at organisations including The Place2Be, The Royal Institution, the London Philharmonic Orchestra and Foundation for Future London.
Ms Lindsay Hooper
Lindsay Hooper is Chief Executive of the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, a department of the University which works with businesses, financial institutions and governments to accelerate market-wide change so that economies deliver for people, nature and climate. This includes supporting businesses to build the strategy and capability needed to drive change, convening and providing insight to accelerate sector-specific transitions, and working with financial institutions to direct capital towards socially beneficial economic activity. The department works closely with academics across Cambridge and internationally, drawing on insights from a broad range of disciplines to inform leadership practice and public debate.
Dr Anna-Maria Kypraiou
Anna-Maria is the Founder and CEO of Eyesea Green Limited, where she developed Eyesense, an AI-powered building energy management system designed to optimise energy usage and improve occupant well-being. Concurrently, she serves as the Director of Studies in Engineering at St Edmund’s, Hughes Hall, and Murray Edwards Colleges. Anna-Maria holds a PhD in Engineering and an MPhil in Energy Technologies from the University of Cambridge, following her studies in Chemical Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens. Her research expertise spans thermoacoustics, fluid mechanics, and decarbonisation strategies within the maritime and construction sectors. Anna-Maria is a recipient of the prestigious Amelia Earhart (AIR-hart), Onassis and Bodassakis Fellowships. She is dedicated to bridging the gap between academic research and industrial application to drive global sustainability efforts.
Mr Sean Moriarty
Sean Moriarty is an advancement leader dedicated to connecting committed donors to endeavours that make a difference. Since joining Cambridge in America two years ago to lead the fundraising team, Sean has been a strategic partner to all of us in Collegiate Cambridge.
Sean grew up in New York City. His career has focused on increasing philanthropy within the higher education and healthcare sectors. He has worked on behalf of such diverse organizations as: The New School, the City University of New York, and the London School of Economics. A first-generation college student himself who attended Boston University, Sean shares our commitment to widening participation.
Dr Vibhuti Patel
Vibhuti is Head of Development (Southeast Asia and Australasia) in the University of Cambridge Development and Alumni Relations office. She previously worked at the University Research Office, where she looked after industry partnerships and research impact for the School of Biological Sciences.
Prior to joining the University of Cambridge, Vibhuti worked in various roles across publishing, strategic partnerships and international development for the Royal Society of Chemistry. She has a background in biochemistry, completing her BSc and PhD at the University of Warwick. As part of, and alongside her career roles, Vibhuti has provided training through the knowledge exchange professional body PraxisAuril and consulted on research impact for the European Commission and for funding agencies in Chile.
Mr Graham Philpott
Graham is the Head of Careers for the University of Cambridge and a passionate believer that all should be able to reach their definition of success, regardless of background. He has worked in Careers since 2008, having pivoted from a career in Human Resources. He graduated with a degree in Economics from the University of Manchester and whilst he’s still interested in economics, if you chat to him about it in College, don’t expect his knowledge to have developed since those studies ended.
Dr Harry Wardell
Harry trained in medicine at St Andrews and Manchester University before moving to Cambridge to begin specialty training. He currently works as an emergency and paediatric emergency medicine consultant at the West Suffolk Hospital, as a paediatric intensive care transport doctor at Addenbrookes hospital and as a clinical tutor for the graduate medical students at St Edmund’s. He has a diploma in Medical Education from the University of Cambridge. Outside of work, he is a proud father of two small boys and enjoys sharing, with them, his hobbies of sailing, woodworking, music and cycling. He would like to thank his wife for her continued and loving support.
Rev Dr Isidoros Katsos
Rev Dr Isidoros Katsos comes from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, where he serves as Assistant Professor of Philosophy and Theological Epistemology. An alumnus of the University of Cambridge, he has held research positions at Oxford, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and the Von Hügel Institute. His current work explores Christian philosophy, ecology, and human rights, with a particular focus on ethical questions emerging in the age of artificial intelligence.
Prof Wojciech Szczerba
Professor Wojciech Szczerba comes from Wrocław, Poland, where he serves as Rector of the Protestant School of Theology. A philosopher and theologian of international standing, he publishes widely in theology and religious studies and leads the journal Theologica Wratislaviensia. His research focuses on philosophy of religion, patristics, ecumenism, and human dignity, with a strong commitment to interreligious dialogue and public ethics.
Dr Mahmoud Alsaeed
Dr Mahmoud Alsaeed comes to us from the Cambridge Centre for Housing and Planning Research in the Department of Land Economy. His work focuses on sustainability, affordability, and inclusion in UK social housing.
Dr Natalie Andersson
Dr Natalie Andersson comes to us as a PDRA from the Wellcome Sanger Institute. She also serves as a resident in clinical pathology at Lund University Hospital. Her research focuses on applied bioinformatics and evolutionary approaches to study how the paediatric liver tumour hepatoblastoma originates and develops.
Dr Aitichya Chandra
Dr Aitichya Chandra joins us from the Institute for Manufacturing in the Department of Engineering. His work focuses on the design and development of adaptive resilience strategies for dynamic communication networks.
Dr Yuyan Jiang
Dr Yuyan Jiang comes to St Edmund’s from the Faculty of Education. Her research focuses on educational inequality, social mobility, and the evaluation of foundational literacy and numeracy programmes in international contexts.
