Alumna shortlisted for the 2014 Asian Women of Achievement Awards

Mildred Yuan-Crotaz, who graduated from St Edmund’s College with a BA in English in 2006 and was awarded a Blue in ballroom dancing, has been shortlisted in the Media category for the 2014 Asian Women of Achievement Awards that recognise the most inspirational Asian women in the UK. Her citation reads ‘Mildred is a second-generation Chinese American who has broken through cultural barriers of gender and ethnic origin to become a rising star in the publishing industry, working as associate to one of the top literary agents in the world. A former management consultant, she now represents writers across all genres. She has a secret double life as a competitive professional ballroom dancer and has represented the UK in global competitions.’ The awards will be held on 4 June at the Hilton Hotel in London. Mildred is currently an associate with AP Watt at United Agents. AP Watt, founded in 1875, is the oldest literary agency in the world and joined the United Agents Partnership in 2012.
