College celebrates Feast of St Edmund

2018-11-19

On Friday 16 November the College held its annual Feast of St Edmund. We were delighted to welcome the Papal Nuncio to Great Britain to the College along with the Bishop of East Anglia.

This Feast was also special for the College because it included a blessing of our new icon of St Edmund of Abingdon, the saint after whom the College is named. The icon was the idea of a member of the College community, Major Frederick Rawding and was completed earlier this year. Sadly, Frederick passed away in the Autumn so was not able to see the blessing take place, but we were pleased to be able to invite Annie Shaw who produced the icon along with her husband Christopher. Moreover, the College was delighted to welcome Roger Miller to the College for the first time with Senior Member Mark Collins. Roger donated a wealth of musical scores to the College much to the pleasure of the College’s Music Society.

You can see a few photos from the evening below, with Annie and Roger pictured in the last photo.
