Four St Edmund’s students have been selected to start in the Varsity rugby matches at Twickenham on Thursday 8th December 2016, two in the mens and two in the womens, as Cambridge look to beat Oxford for the first time in seven years.  The four selected from St Edmund’s are Andrew Hunter and Brian Du Toit, who will each be playing in their first Varsity match becoming the eightieth and eighty-first St Edmund’s men to play in the match. And, in the women’s team St Edmund’s will be represented by Laura Suggitt and Katerina Sanchez-Schilling.
The Cambridge men have found some form of late and, after some difficult matches earlier in the Michaelmas term, have won their last four games, including a 52-26 victory over the Steele-Bodgers XV.
